Top restaurant! You should definitely make a reservation, otherwise it will be difficult. We were there in August 2020. The food was absolutely delicious !!

I used the delivery service and I have to say: Perfect. After ordering by phone, the food was delivered within 15 minutes and the pizza was still really hot. In terms of taste, I found the pizza extremely tasty and you could really taste the fresh ingredients. The bottom and the edge of the pizza were neither too crispy nor too soft. Just perfect for my taste. I will definitely order something there again. Chapeau!

An exceptionally good kitchen. It scores with that they offer a separate category for self-produced pasta. The portion was on the small side, but very tasty. The staff was satisfactory and the other dishes tasted as you would expect from a good Italian restaurant.

Excellent ambience, fantastic food, top staff ... you can't say anything bad. On the contrary, a must for anyone who wants to pamper their palate!

The Castello was recommended to us by people who live on the Moselle. Since we happened to be nearby, we hadn't ordered a table, so there was only one place left on the terrace. For us and the guests at the neighboring tables, that was probably no problem. I appreciate it when the staff can be recognized uniformly through a shirt, T-shirt or apron. Perhaps the young man was working temporarily in the service. My question about the mussels was answered in a friendly manner. The brew was very much to my taste and the portion was decent. I didn't read the price for it or ask for it, but luckily the price and performance were right on the bill. The pizza was also well filled and couldn't be passed. I think when we are back in Cochem we will eat there again. But then we order a table for inside in a very appealing rustic ambience.

The restaurant offers an extremely nice, cozy ambience. The guest room, in which we were allowed to sit down, resembled a catacomb, which is very atmospherically lit and decorated. The staff are very friendly and everything goes quickly and smoothly. In order to shorten the short waiting time between ordering and receiving the food, warm pizza rolls are served with delicious spreads. The food itself was just great both in terms of quality and quantity. Delicious. Overall, definitely to be recommended!

Very good and well furnished restaurant. The food was very tasty. It is advisable to reserve in advance if you are not in a hurry, as the restaurant is really busy.

Insider tip !!! A bit off the Moselle promenade, but it's worth it. Delicious food in the beautiful vaulted cellar. Great atmosphere! Attentive service despite a full house. The herb butter for the pizza rolls - Hmm very tasty (I would love to have a recipe 😋 The food came quickly and tasted and delicious. Price performance ratio is very good. I recommend the Castello to everyone with a clear conscience.

We have never been treated so badly here in Cochem !!! My husband had Mussels, which he really wanted. The mussels were very small and at least a quarter was empty !!! No sauce or fries, only 4 pieces of bread. When asked if the food had tasted, my husband replied; well not really and explained why it was not good and tasty. Whereupon we were completely ignored, we wanted to take something after but because we were ignored, so nobody came to our table, not even when our glasses were empty, we paid and we left! We did talk about us in Italian! We have never been treated so rudely and will never send anyone there and never go again ourselves !!!! Criticism is never fun, but with constructive criticism you can do something with it, but certainly not IGNORE guests !!!

This Place has a many problems in their organisation. First of all they gave me the wrong food, i paid more than i should pay. And there was a pretty annoying bell which have ringed all the time. I‘m just a tourist, but i wouldnt come back again.

Nice Italian with great food! Everything from wine to pizza to meat dishes really tastes good here !!! The wait staff are friendly and the food and drinks come in a timely manner. If you want to eat well in Cochem, this is the best place to go!

Very nice restaurant with a cozy flair. The service was friendly and tried very hard. Starter and main course great. The dessert, on the other hand, the panna cotta, wasn't that great. But definitely recommended.

We went there for the second time in a year, just to give the shop a new chance. Unfortunately we were just as disappointed as the first time. Very unfriendly boss, the quality of the food is mediocre at best, the price / performance ratio is not at all right. We cannot recommend the place.

Average food at best. The tortellini tasted like it was bought from a supermarket, it also certainly appeared like that in appearance. The tomato beef sauce left a strange after taste in the mouth, and was overly creamy rather than the expected tomato herb flavour. The combination reminded me of a microwave meal. My partner ordered a Gorgonzola pasta which as other reviewers have mentioned, didn't taste like quality cheese at all. It's always a bad sign when an "italian" chooses to throw paprika over the plate. We also didn't see any of the staff smiling, come on cheer up you're making great profits reheating pasta! The one positive was the bread and the butter. We cannot fathom how this place have received such positive reviews..

Great pizzeria just outside the center of Cochem. We were there with 6 people and spontaneously got a seat on the terrace. From pizza to pasta dishes to fish dishes, everything is perfect - fresh and delicious. In addition, a super nice and dedicated service. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent pizza with friendly staff. My only real complaint I had was the pizza knifes were really dull and hard to cut. The prices were fair and most of the staff spoke adequate English. Definitely an excellent location for those seeking Italian food in the area

Highly Recommended. The staff were all very friendly. We quickly got a seat even though we didn't make a reservation. Were served fairly quickly. In advance there was a greeting from the kitchen. Special requests were always met in a friendly manner. The food was delicious and not too 'Germanized'! Nice ambience, friendly staff, good food and prices that you would not have expected in a holiday resort.

When we arrived people were waiting outside so be sure to book in advance. The owner is italian and both the atmospheare with the italian music and the food were very good. The portions are huge and the house wine was divine! Book a table on the terrace if available :) The place is up a hill road! Prices are also very good, what we found a bit expensive was the water (€5.50) but otherwise all good! All the covid measures were followed in this place so we felt safe as well.

Basic italian. Very average quality. But still above average in a tourist town

This was our favourite meal out in Cochem. Authentic Italian. I liked the look and feel of the place. I'm pleased they found us a table without a reservation. Got lucky I think.

Delicious Italian in the old town of Cochem. Probably one of the few places with a reasonable and good price-performance ratio. Nice personel. The food came quickly. You also have the chance to get a table spontaneously, with little waiting time. If you want to sit on the terrace, you should reserve in advance.

Fortunately, we got a table for four people on the beautiful terrace at short notice. The service was friendly, nice and attentive. We enjoyed the food and the price-performance ratio is good. We can only recommend this location.

This restaurant seems to be unwelcoming towards tourists. Upon arriving, a German couple ahead of me were told the wait was ten minutes. There were many open tables. The same man then looked at me any my husband and yelled at us "WHAT?" My husband asked how long for a table and the man threw his hands in the air angrily and said "Never!" I'd avoid this restaurant as there are more welcoming ones in the city.

Wonderful food, great staff and extremely reasonable prices. Had a steak and various appetizers. Everything was delicious.

Good food and good staff

The pizza was awesome. The bruschetta was also really good. Seating on the balcony seemed to be by reservation only and the cellar room was a bit on the warm side. The food was definitely worth it though.

Good pizza's just outside the busy centrr of cochem. Quiet atmosphere. There are vegetable options. Staff was friendly. If you sit at the side of the terrace outside, you smell smoke from the pizza oven. Other than that, very nice!

Popped in for dinner at 20:00 on Saturday night without a reservation and politely enquired about a table but was rudely dismissed. Won't be returning.

Best Italian in town. Pizza is real Italian style with thin hard crust and fresh ingrediënts, anything Made in their wood oven is fantastic and they have fresh selfmade pasta. The restaurant itself is in an old winebar, so it looks cosy. Service depends on the waiter, Some are good, Some not so much. Only the desserts were not so impressive.
